SAARC CCI organized one day conference on “Regional Consultation on Tourism Potential in South Asia” in collaboration with Federation of Sri Lanka Chamber of Commerce & Industry, supported by Friedrich Naumann Foundation, on 8th July 2010 at Colombo. . Mr. Annisul huq, President SAARC CCI was the Chief Guest of the seminar while Mr. Shafique Alam Mehdi, Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, Govt. of Bangladesh was the guest of Honour. The inaugural session of the seminar was followed by two technical sessions i.e Tourism in South Asia: Potential & Opportunities - country Perspective and Issues & bottlenecks in promotion of Intra-SAARC Tourism and where were addressed by prominent speakers of the region.
Tariq Sayeed, Immediate Past President, SAARC CCI, appointed as Vice President CACCI: Mr. Tariq Sayeed, the immediate Past President of SAARC CCI and the former President, FPCCI has been honoured another position at the biggest trade organization of the Asian region, the Confederation of Asia Pacific Chambers of Commerce & Industry (CACCI).
The 24th CACCI Conference, Sri Lanka Economic Summit 2010, 5th - 7th July 2010, Colombo, Sri Lanka. The 24th CACCI Conference has been participated by over 130 participants, , representing all members bodies of CACCI, which now is a group of 29 countries of Asia- Pacific including Japan, Australia, New Zealand, ASEAN member nations and five South Asian countries i.e. Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Nepal and Sri Lanka.

A delegation of SAARC countries led by Mr. Annisul Huq, President SAARC CCI calls on Hon’able Prime Minister of Nepal, Mr. Madhav Kumar Nepal, on 21st April 2010. The objective of the call on was to seek Prime Minister Support for inclusion of private sector in upcoming SAARC summit and representation of SAARC CCI as consultative of the private sector at Ministerial Levels meetings.
