Second round of training on “Export and Import Procedures, Promoting Gender Equality in Trade”

SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SAARC CCI) organized second round of training of trainers on ‘Export and Import Procedures, Promoting Gender Equality in Trade”. Formally commencing the training day, trainer, Ms. Dure Shehwar presented the agenda and welcomed all the participants followed by a short introduction round. The training was attended by women entrepreneurs and business leaders, to enable them to disseminate the knowledge correlated to exports and imports. The training content was based on the first round of ToT which was formally held in Colombo, Sri Lanka. The major topics presented by Ms. Dure Shehvar in the first half included:

1. Trade in SAARC region
2. Global Trade
3. Global procedures of trade (Import and exports)
4. Letter of credit

The trainer Ms. Dur-e-Shehwar commenced the session with the subject of sustainability and sustainable development goals. Furthermore, she highlighted gender sensitivity viewpoint in context of trade and the significance of women’s participation.
